what they needed
The Red Hat Society’s previous website had a dated design and lacked flexible and scalable functionality for its members. Because of this, they came to VM wanting a brand new website designed and developed to better future-proof their organization.
what we did
Tina Raposo took the lead in designing the client’s improved online presence. She utilized their existing brand colours by making them more vivid and bright to modernize the design. In addition, she placed the iconic red hat as a faded motif on the background on pages throughout the website.
Peter Vigilante was the primary developer of the massive undertaking of building this website. Once the over 60,000 members were migrated over to the WordPress platform, they needed to be placed with their associated subscriptions and plans so that they were able to interact with the client’s brand-new social platform that Peter created using BuddyBoss. The social platform allows members to create and join social groups known as chapters and get exclusive access to events and member content. The WooCommerce plugin was also implemented so new and returning members could purchase subscriptions and memberships.
