Opera Kelowna

Opera Kelowna was established in 2013 by a group of individuals passionate about the arts, including Alexandra Babbel. It is a non-profit organization recognized as a registered charity and a member of the Association for Opera in Canada. As of 2020, the company is under new leadership, with Rosemary Thomson serving as Artistic Director and Brianna Wells as Managing Director. The organization also benefits from the guidance of a dedicated Board of Directors.

The VM Marketing team assists Opera Kelowna with social media and pay-per-click advertising strategy, creation, and distribution for their productions. In addition, our web design and development team designed and built Opera’s newest website.

coLab

The coLab began as a small group of like-minded individuals with a shared vision. Over time, it has grown into a community of hundreds of individuals who are dedicated to creativity and collaboration.

The coLab’s open and collaborative culture is fostered by encouraging members to actively shape the community’s future roadmap and operations. Today, the coLab supports entrepreneurs, professionals, and creative individuals who are embracing a new way of working.

VM Marketing assists coLab with their social media and pay-per-click advertising strategy, including creating and distributing. In addition, the VM web design and development team designed and built the newest version of the coLab website.

Unicorns.LIVE

Unicorns.LIVE provides a platform for underrepresented voices. It features exclusive content that covers a range of topics, such as arts, entertainment, and inclusive education. It offers both live-streamed and on-demand productions. It’s a place where people can come together to laugh, learn, and be inspired while also supporting creators directly.

Vigilante Marketing designed and built their new homepage, and our marketing team creates social media and email campaigns to promote their past and upcoming shows.

Jewel Events

Julie is the founder of Jewel Events. Since she moved to Canada in 2013, she has worked with some of Okanagan’s top event planners, vendors, and venues in planning weddings and events. At 19, she was allowed to plan and coordinate her first wedding, leading to experience in planning conferences and banquets while working in London hotels. She has a passion for planning private parties and themed events.

Julie’s imagination is unlimited, and she welcomes the opportunity to hear about any vision for a big day. She enjoys getting creative and experimenting with different styles and is a hopeless romantic who wants to tell each couple’s love story. Every wedding or event is special and unique, and Julie will work to reflect each couple’s individual tastes and traditions, no matter how extravagant or simple.

For the past two holiday seasons, VM’s marketing team has created social media and pay-per-click campaigns to promote the Jewel Events GLOW Concert.

Grindstone Award Foundation

The Grindstone Award Foundation is a charity established by two young women who have been deeply impacted by the sport of hockey throughout their lives. The founders, Sasha Podolchak and Danielle Grundy are based out of Kelowna, BC, and started the charity with the goal of providing others with the same opportunities and experiences that hockey has given them. The charity was founded in 2014 and quickly became a national movement, positively impacting families across Canada.

Penticton Peach Fest

The Penticton Peach Festival began in 1947, with the participation of the Knights of Pythias and the Penticton Rotary Club. Neil McKerracher was the first chairman. The festival is held annually in mid-August, when peaches are in season. The festival features notable guest personalities and a selection process for a queen and princesses. Events include a rodeo, industrial show, parade, and a crowning ceremony.
